HR plays a very vital role in employer-employee relationship. The role of an HR is very critical to maintaining a profitable and successful organization. The HR department at Pecson understands that and is working towards making Pecon a better place to work for employees and also a profitable and sustainable business for the employers (owners). This is carried out through a variety of employee related activities like stress management, implementing unparalled benefits and incentive schemes for employees and various employee engagement activities.

Stress Management

We are very open as a management team and open to ideas from our employees. The management and HR Department consider Pecon as a family and treat employees as family members. Here at Pecon the HR department is involved in regular counseling and interaction with our staff. We understand that excessive stress can reduce employee effectiveness and therefore organizational performance. We also understand that stress can result in inability to cope with the demands of the job, which of course, creates more stress. Pecon has the social responsibility to provide a good quality of working life. Excessive stress causes illness.


The HR departments at Pecon with active help from the management and in active co-ordination with various departments have identified ways to reduce stress at workplace.


Effective job design: By clarifying roles, reducing the danger of role ambiguity and conflict and giving people more autonomy within a defined structure to manage their responsibilities.


Setting targets and performance standards: We as employers set reasonable and achievable targets which may stretch people but do not place impossible burdens on them.


Placement: Taking care of people in jobs that are within their capabilities.


Career development: We at Pecon give value to talent, help in planning careers and promoting staff in accordance with their capabilities, taking care not to over or under promote. We encourage career development by promoting employees through our Internal Job Postings.


Performance management processes: We at Pecon actively involve the employees and encourage dialogue to take place between managers and an individual about the latter's work, problems and ambitions. We run a programme called Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) to boost underperformers and make them perform better.


Counseling: Giving individuals the opportunity to talk about their problems with a member of the HR department or through an employee assistance programme like Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).


We also train Management in performance review and counseling techniques and what managers can do to alleviate their own stress and reduce it in employees.
